FamilyPlan provides several options to delete local data, family memberships, families and accounts.
Updated: June 1, 2026Account and data functions are planned in FamilyPlan under Settings > Data & Account. There you can delete local data, leave a family, delete a family or delete the account.
This action removes local app data from the device, including local cache, pending sync operations, location cache and locally stored family content. Cloud data remains stored. The app signs the person out on that device.
Leaving a family removes your own membership. Current location data and location sharing are removed server-side. Parents can delete a family, which removes family content such as profiles, memberships, calendars, tasks, lists, chat data, budget data, meals, school, points and rewards.
Account deletion removes the Supabase Auth user. Families without another parent may be deleted; in other families, membership is removed and the profile can be anonymized. Apple subscriptions must be managed or cancelled separately through Apple.
If a family continues to exist, shared family content may remain but is no longer linked to the deleted login. Apple billing records and minimal audit data may be retained where required for security, billing, support or legal reasons.
If deletion in the app does not work or you need help, email support@familyplan.cloud. Please do not send unnecessary family data, child information, live locations, chat messages or budget details.
